My girlfriend got a little upset and used half a roll of duct tape to strap my dog, Ernie, to the top of my trailer. Well, after getting him un-stuck, cleaning the bites and scratches on my arms, legs, and chest, it occured to me that since he looks pretty bad with kind of a zebra bald look, should I just shave all his hair off. It's not winter yet so he has a chance to grow it back. Ole Ernie won't stop growling at my girlfried either. Should I have him boarded, or her. I just want some peace and quiet

Trimmed. Winter is on the way. Just enough to make Ernie still pass as a dog. Why would she do such a thing. She needs to learn some compassion in dealing with animals. Ask her if she'd like to make a ponytail hairdo out of duct tape on herself. Then you can take a razor to her to help cover the bald spots.

When Ernie growls at the gf, just snap at him to stop and get him to settle down. She needs to be sweet toward him and give him treats. Eventually, Ernie will be ok around her. Ernie probably pre-dated the girlfriend, so she's the "interloper" and needs to understand that Ernie is your "proxie" child and she needs to show kindness toward him from now on, and if she has any issues, to go through you first.
