For starters, I would go to the vet and have them give your dog a good flea bath and some flea medicine. Flea baths at the vet are only $10-$15 so they aren't too much. Then I would get some flea spray or powder for your house. Make sure to vaccum really well and then spray it all over your house. Also flea bomb your yard to get rid of all the fleas there.

Try DEFLEA. It has a food additive that makes the animal taste bad and the fleas split. Shampoo the carpets and clean his bed too. Fleas like to live there.

Bathe the dog with Johnson's Baby Shampoo, it kills fleas instantly. Also when you vacuum you carpets, put some moth balls in the bag, it will also kill the fleas. For long term, I would bomb my house, and get something on the dogs for long term, at least a flea collar, if not Advantage Good luck

I work for vet so I know first hand what works. If you have a really bad infestation, which it sounds like you do, be prepared to spend time and money to break the never ending cycle of these critters. First you must give your dog something to kill the fleas right now, I like a product call comfortis, its new, not alot of people know about it yet, but it is a pill that you give once a month, it will kill all the fleas on your dog within 30 minutes and it lasts for a month. Next you need to control the eggs and larvae which will hatch out into your home every 30 days, spray your home with something that contains an IGR(insect growth regulator) this will control all of the eggs that will try to hatch out later. Next you must clean your house thoroughly, wash anything that is washable, fleas will lay eggs on anything fabric so if you can't wash it, spray it with the spray I told you about, next make sure you treat your dog with a product like frontline, when used in conjunction with the comfortis, the fleas don't stand a chance. Our puppy has fleas too and we went to our vet and got this pill called capstar. it takes 30 minutes to work and it kills all the fleas on the dog. They just fall off! it works...trust me. Then I would bomb your house for fleas.

What exactly do you mean by 'everything'? I find that when people say that, they've only used pet store products!

You need to get a proper veterinary spot-on, like Frontline, Revolution or Advantage and make sure it gets right on the skin of the dog, not the fur. Do NOT bathe the dog before or after applying it, wait at least 48 hours after bathing, and after application before you bathe again.

Also be sure to treat you house properly with a veterinary house spray.
